The
SBS Automated Phone Payment System gives you the ability to receive
payments without relying on the postal service. Payments are deposited
electronically, which eliminates the need to open mail, sort, list,
batch and bundle payments for deposit.
You are also afforded the protection of our automatic NSF re-presentment
system. Returned items are represented within two banking days of the
original NSF return. If the second presentment is unsuccessful the returned
item is presented a third and final time on the following 1st or 16th
day, whichever comes first. This provides the benefit of three total
presentments, at no cost to you. And, the automation of the collections
process will save you money on labor costs.
For YOUR customer:
The SBS Automated Phone Payment System gives your customers the comfort
of knowing their bill(s) can be paid at any time during the billing
cycle. This also provides the opportunity for your customer to hold
their money a few extra days if they are in a tight financial situation,
as they are not dependent on the postal service. The added benefit of
the customer's new found financial freedom keeps them happy, thus building
a better business relationship and driving customer loyalty.
What
is the SBS Automated Phone Payment System?
A fully automated consumer driven system whereby
you can accept payments over the telephone, automatically day or night,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Now merchants and businesses of all sizes can have the benefits of
a fully-automated, consumer initiated, telephone-based bill payment
system. As mentioned before, this is fully-automated. There is not a
person on the other end of the phone taking the information and entering
it manually (although there is an option to connect to a customer service
representative at your company.)
How Does It Work?
The customer calls a toll-free number to pay their bill by phone. The
fully automated phone response system guides the user through a series
of information prompts. The user can select a single invoice, or multiple
invoices to pay. The user then has the option to pay with check or credit
card. Funds are then deposited into your bank account. All transactions
are handled electronically therefore saving you time and money.
What Does The SBS System Cost?
There is a one-time setup fee to customize the system to your specifications,
but the cost per transaction can be ZERO*. Typically, a "convenience
fee" is added to the customer's total amount due. The customer
covers the cost of the transaction and you pay nothing*. The amount
of the convenience fee depends on several factors, such as the average
transaction amount and the number of transactions per month.
*Credit Card transactions do incur the standard credit
card transaction fees on top of the Pay by Phone transaction fee. There
are no additional transaction fees for ACH (check) transactions.
